Summer can be a wonderfully messy time.

Dripping ice cream cones……

Slurping Juicy mangoes……..

We often perceive the tactile experience of messiness through our hands, our magic wands. We feel the ice cream dripping through our fingers and don’t mind the stickiness when we focus on enjoying the total ice cream experience. It’s even fun to let go and lick the ice cream off our fingers.  Life gets messy too and when that happens, we can relax into the experience and just like the ice cream, let the mess drip through us.

This month we will create a playful summer inspired painting using the magic brushes that are our fingers. Let’s have fun, finger paint, and get messy!

Suggested Supplies:

Art journal or canvas

Acrylic paint (I will use magenta, orange, turquoise, white, and yellow-green)

White gesso

Toilet paper roll, baby wipes, stencils of your choice

Acrylic markers (black and white)
